Brunatto's Cioccolatos
Wine and Chocolate
Defying myths and prejudices, wine enthusiasts can experience exquisite sensations if they decide to combine two elements that have always been surrounded by legend and mystery: Wine & Chocolate!
When the Spaniards arrived in America , they brought much wine with them. The indigenous people mixed the wine with their cocoa and, according to historians; the resulting beverage was a great surprise for everyone.
Ten years ago, Felix Brunatto proposed the idea of a "Chocolate Ceremony" accompanied by wine, resurrecting the Mayan tradition of 2500 years ago. At first the idea was received with mixed rejection and applause, yet today it steadily gains universal acceptance. It is known by many that the combination, wine and cocoa, reinforces the bouquet of each other. Although there is one condition that you must meet, they both must be of prime quality. The chocolate must not contain extraneous fats or more than just a tiny bit of sugar.
Brunatto invites you to follow the same ritual. Combine wine tasting and fine chocolates, to create a wonderful experience, a "Feast of the Senses".
| Ones palate will fill up pleasure when chocolate combines with a touch of good wine. You may ask, "Which wine is most appropiate?". The answer is quite simple: the one that best suits your own palate. As a recommendation, we could say that an exceptional Port will always be an excellent combination. However, a fine Cabernet Reserve, a Syrah, a Carmenere, or even a Chardonay, will be splendid accompaniments to Brunatto chocolates. | ![]() |
Whichever the wine you choose, the result will be an original delight for your senses, and will leave the doors open for new combinations, ever more exciting and distinguished.
