Our Chocolate Atelier is located in Curacaví, a small town in the Central Valley of Chile. Among hills of the Coastal mountain range, within the Metropolitan Region of Santiago.


It is a beautiful place free of the stress of the capital city of Santiago , although geographically not too far.


Surrounded by a farmer's slow pacing ambience where home is already Eden , where the hills and the bending grasses still speak to those that where taught to listen to the green uttering-forth of leaves, and to the subtle signs of nature. It is here that l'Atelier del Cioccolato di Felix Brunatto works laboriously to honor the best of Eupopean Chocolatiers and the wisdom of the Pre-Colombian traditions.

 

 
Curacaví, means Stones of the Festin, and was founded during the Spanish Colonization.

Our bonbons are the fruit of a willingness to play, engage in a labor of love, and expand an art poised to magically seduce our senses.

Now, once you have a Cioccolato with you...
Locate yourself in a relatively open space -- a low hill is particularly good, or a wide field or a simple but beutifully decorated ambiance. Relax a bit, take a few breaths, gaze around. Then close your eyes, and let yourself begin to feel the whole bulk of your past -- the whole mass of events leading up to this very moment. And call into awareness, as wel, you whole future -- all those projects and possibilities that lie waiting to be realized. Imagine this past and this future as two vast balloons of time, separated from each other like the bulbs of an hourglass, yet linked together at the single moment where you stand pondering them. And then, very slowly, allow both of these immense bulbs of time to begin leaking their substance into this minute moment between them, into the present. Slowly, imperceptibly at first, let the present moment begin to grow. Feel how it is nourished by the leakage from the past and the future, how the present moment swells in proportion as those other dimensions shrink. Soon when it has become very large, and the past and the future have dwindled down to mere knots on the edge of this huge expanse, let the past and the future dissolve entirely. And open your eyes...gaze at the dark brilliant ebony hue of the Cioccolato you hold in your hand, and also enjoy the delicacy and art of each beautiful design, the velvety feeling while holding the bonbon as you discover the aroma of cacao...a sweet and lightly toasted scent and that subtle fruit overtone or undertone… and the crisp, "cracking" sound it makes as it melts…
